540,422. Cooling cylinders. SCOTT MOTORS (SALTAIRE), Ltd., and CULL, W. April 27, 1940, No. 7577. [Class 7 (ii)] Air is drawn by a fan 6 through an internally ribbed casing 4 surrounding the cylinder or cylinder head, the ribs 11 on the casing projecting between those 3 from the cylinder, both sets running longitudinally. Additional openings 14 may. be made in the casing for drawing air on to engine "hot-spots" such as the exhaust pipe 13.
