Abstract
1390894 Air cooled I C engines DAIMLERBENZ AG 31 May 1973 [3 June 1972] 25921/73 Heading F1B A cooling air duct 11 in the cylinder head 1 communicates through an inlet 12 with a space 8 defined between an extension of the crank-case 7 and the cylinder wall 2, 4. Inlet and outlet apertures 9 and 10 are provided in the crank-case extension at regions opposite the cylinder wall 2, 4. The duct 11 has an inlet 13 in the head 1 and an injection nozzle holder 15 extends across the duct. Air directing and heat dissipating fins (17), Fig. 2 (not shown) are provided in the duct 11. The cooling air may be supplied by a blower.
