602,553. Pumping apparatus. SCHWEIZERISCHE LOKOMOTIV-UND MASCHINENFABRIK. Oct. 17, 1945, No. 27164. Convention date, Nov. 13, 1944. [Class 110 (i)] [Also in Group XXVII] An air-cooled internal-combustion engine is supplied with cooling air by an axial blower 6 which also supplies air to a radial charging blower 9, both blowers being mounted on the same shaft 10. As shown, this is a tubular shaft, the blower 6 being connected to the fly-wheel 2 by a shaft 5 and gears 4, 17, 3. Alternatively both blowers may be directly driven from the shaft through resilient couplings and an exhaust actuated turbine may be keyed to the shaft.
