Abstract

The surface material of a roller for sizing textile yarns (see Group VIII) consists of rubber having a substantial proportion of wool fibres intimately dispersed therein. The term "rubber" includes natural rubber and synthetic elastomers, particularly a butadiene-acrylonitrile co-polymer or a chloroprene polymer. Preferably the wool fibres are in the proportion of one to two parts by weight to each part by weight of rubber.
