[Also in Group VIII] In a carding machine having a feed plate B and an adjustable feed roller C that is rigidly mounted in bearings on the machine frame, the feed roller is provided with a resilient sleeve c. The sleeve c may be of rubber, synthetic rubber, polyvinyl chloride, or other resilient material unaffected by moisture or oil and may be moulded on the roller. Specification 650,847 is referred to.
