858,331. Textile rollers. THWAITES, J. April 4, 1957 [April 19, 1956], No. 11912/56. Class 142(2). [Also in Groups VIII and XVI] A roller, which may be as described in Specification 779,674, has a metal spindle 10, a coating 12 of natural or synthetic rubber or plasticised poly-vinyl chloride, and circumferential slits or a helical slit 18. The slits may be inclined in which case the sharp corner 20 of the coating 12 is chamfered to indicate the inclination of the slits. The spindle 10 may be hollow.
