A steam generator has a cyclone furnace chamber 1 and a secondary furnace chamber 2, the axis of the cyclone chamber being inclined from the vertical at an angle of from 15 degrees to 45 degrees, and having a lower end of outwardlyprojecting frustoconical shape. The walls of the furnace chambers are provided with steam-generating tubes operating with natural circulation, the peripheral wall of the cyclone chamber having two tube groups, one only of which 9 is shown in Fig. 1, extending from a distributor or distributors 10 with upward slope in opposite directions around the said peripheral wall.
