Abstract

670,876. Loudspeakers. MAGNAVOX (AUSTRALIA) PTY., Ltd. Aug. 27, 1948 [Aug. 27, 1947; Oct. 2, 1947], Nos. 22650/48 and 22651/48. Class 40 (iv). In a moving-coil loud-speaker the central pole 15 is secured to the magnet pot 12 by magnetic attraction only and is located at its air gap end by a non - magnetic ring 11 which is located with respect to the inner pole-face of the top plate 10 by a recess or recesses in, or bosses on, the under-surface of the top plate. The top plate has similar locating arrangements for the chassis or diaphragm unit on its upper surface. In a modification, Fig. 5 (not shown), a polepiece is held by magnetic attraction only to the centre pole.
