Abstract
644,396. Magnetrons. WESTERN ELECTRIC CO., Inc. Aug. 7, 1947, No. 21759. Convention date, Jan. 10, 1944. [Class 39 (i)] In a strapped multicavity magnetron, the straps 26, 27 are mounted upon a ledge 24, 25 depressed in the end 17 of the anode structure and shielding elements are provided in the form of tabs 28, 30 attached to or formed integrally with the straps and disposed and formed so as to occupy positions between the straps and the cathode reaction space. The vertical portions 29, 31 of the tabs are flush with the outer surface of the cathode reaction space. The straps forming concentric rings may be split at points between tabs or at the centres of split tabs to facilitate assembly. The strapping arrangements and connections at the two ends of the anode may be different.
