Abstract
877,394. Magnetrons. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. March 2, 1960 [March 4, 1959], No. 7378/60. Class 39(1). The output waveguide 6 of a magnetron 1, 2 is provided with a pair of impedancetransforming conductive vanes 11, 12 which are shaped to intercept any conductive material projected from the electrodes of the magnetron towards the dielectric window 8. The thickness of the vanes is such that they occupy most of the cross-section of the waveguide 6. They terminate in curved shoulders 13, 14. The waveguide may have a circular cross-section.
