Abstract

879,879. Magnetrons. PATELHOLD PATENTVERWERTUNGS- & ELEKTROHOLDING A.G. May 4, 1959 [May 9, 1958], No. 15163/59. Class 39(1). In a single cavity magnetron with an interdigital electrode structure, the free ends of the electrode segments are spaced further from the cathode than are the roots of the segments so that the density of the impinging electrons is less near the free ends of the segments than at the more easily cooled parts near the segment roots. In Fig. 1 the faces of the segments S facing the cathode K are inclined at an angle ' not exceeding 10 degrees. In Fig. 2 the faces of the segments S are of stepped form.
