Abstract

925,451. Magnetrons. ASSOCIATED ELEC. TRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. June 27, 1961 [July 8, 1960], No. 23964/60. Class 39 (1). In a multi-cavity vane-type magnetron output coupling connections are taken from vanes which in operation have opposite instantaneous polarities to the conductors of a coaxial line. As shown, straps 11, 12 are taken from adjacent vanes 2 through a slot 13 in the polepiece 7 to the inner and outer conductors 10, 9 of the coaxial line 8. Strap 12 is connected to the polepiece 7 and strap 11 to a cylindrical condutor 14 composite with the conductor 10 and supported from the conductor 9 by a pillar 15. The connections to the anode segments may be at A and B in Fig. 3, or at A<SP>1</SP> and B<SP>1</SP>. Specification 655,409 is referred to.
