Abstract
604,400. Magnetrons. PATELHOLD PATENTVERWERTUNGS- & ELEKTROHOLDING AKT.-GES. Nov. 16, 1945, No. 30769. Convention date, Nov. 17, 1944. [Class 39 (i)] A magnetron comprises a hollow cavity resonator H serving as the anode whose inner wall has at least eight interdigitated segments S and a coaxial cathode K, the dimensions being such that, where ra is anode radius, rk the cathode radius and p the number of pairs of anode segments, the following condition is fulfilled : The distance between the mid-points of adjacent segment is less than 2 mms. In another form, shown in Fig. 2, the cathode element comprises a hot cathode K and a conductor electrode L, or it may comprise a wire helix having several turns of radius rk.
