Abstract

620,785. Spray carburetters. FASSOLIS, N. Jan. 2, 1947, No. 191. [Class 7 (iii)] Fuel from a float chamber 13 flows through metering grooves 27, 28, Fig. 4, in a conical plug 2 to ports 29, 30 connected respectively by a pipe 10 to a Venturi 9 for normal running and by a pipe 26 to a slow running passage opening adjacent the throttle valve, the usual nozzle jets being dispensed with. The pipe 26 is connected to an elbow piece 12 screwed into the slow running passage formed in the wall of the throttle chamber 25. A union 3 screwed in the port 30 permits air controlled by a needle 5 and rotatable sleeve 7 to mix with the slowrunning fuel, and the plug 2 is easily removed for cleaning. The carburetter is attached to the throttle valve chamber 25 by a flange 11.
