Abstract
663,655. Spray carburetters. JENSEN, L. Dec. 17, 1948 [Dec. 19, 1947], No. 32730/48. Class 7(iii) A carburetter throttle valve comprises a main disc 1 connected rigid with and spaced apart from a smaller disc 3. The carburetter idling passage 9 opens into the space between the discs so that when the disc 1 closes the passage 2, idling mixture flows through an orifice 6 in a groove in the disc 1 after mixing with air flowing around the disc 3. The discs 1, 3 may be plane and parallel to on another, or bent and grooved adjacent the passage 9 and one or more perforations may be provided in the disc 3. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes a modification, Fig. 12 (Cancelled) in which a cylindrical member 32 is arranged adjacent the outlet of an emulsified fuel supply passage 33 and provided with a notch 34 which delivers direct into the space a between the valve discs as soon as the valve is moved from the idling position. In Fig. 18 (Cancelled) passages 39, 40 connect the space above the fuel in the float chamber with the idling passage 9 so that fuel vapour is drawn off. - This subject-matter is not included in the Specification as accepted.
