620,626. Floors; girders, reinforced concrete. MILBANK, G. A. Jan. 24, 1947, No. 2207. [Class 20(iv)] Reinforced concrete beams to be arranged side by side to form a shell for in situ concrete moulded as a connected series of T-beams and up to 8 in. in depth have their top and side walls a, b and transverse ribs c, with reinforcing rods d at the feet of the side walls. Rods g laid in the channel between adjacent beams from reinforcement for the in situ concrete and may extend beyond the end of the beams and supporting joist. Wood strips may replace the flanges at the feet of the side walls. Reinforcement for the beams may include transverse stirrups or links which extend through the top and side walls and the transverse webs.
