785,499. Floors. BRODEN, F. F. Sept. 14, 1955 [Sept. 17, 1954], No. 26344/55. Class 20(4) In the making of reinforced concrete floors in situ the beams, which are cast at the same time as the floor, are reinforced by spaced upper and lower longitudinal members 2, 3 interconnected by spaced vertical plates 4. The lower ends of the plates project some distance below the members 3 to receive shuttering 7 which is secured by wedges 6 driven through holes in the plates. Wedges may also be driven above the shuttering. Insulating slabs 9, e.g. of wood wool, having bevelled ends 10 to define the sides of the beams rest on the shuttering. After the concrete is set and the shuttering removed the projecting lower ends of the plates 4 are cut off.
