Abstract

745,492. Building slabs; walls; floors. MICHELIER, J. P. Nov. 12, 1953 [Nov. 14, 1952], No. 31345/53. Classes 20(4) and 87(1). [Also in Group V] A wall or floor slab 1 or 1a is formed by casting a reinforced concrete shell 3, 4 around three faces of a number of hollow terra cotta or plaster blocks 12 arranged end to end and formed on their side faces with re-entrant or projecting angles 41. The outer side faces of the concrete shell may be formed with similar angles 40 or may be stepped as shown in Fig. 7. The side faces of the slabs may be formed with V-shaped or semi-circular grooves 42 and with edge recesses 54. Concrete 10 or 50 may be cast between adjacent slabs and panels 15 attached to the wall or floor. The wall slabs are set on a footing block and a reinforced concrete beam is cast across their upper ends. Blocks with inclined upper surfaces leading to small holes in the slabs are arranged below the concrete 10 for drainage purposes.
