551,529. Walls; building blocks. DAVIS, M. A., and HUGHES, W. July 24, 1941, No. 9420. [Classes 20 (iv) and 87 (i)] In a structure having walls built of hollow blocks with inner and outer facings connected by webs upon which are laid rods for reinforcing concrete poured between the faces, a corner block has facings 2, 8 at an angle to one another, a back 1 and transverse webs 3, 4 which, together with the pair of the back 1 adjacent a face 8, are reduced in depth to receive the reinforcing rods. The part of the back 1 near the face 8 is recessed. The bricks are intended particularly for inclined walls for which it is difficult to erect shuttering.
