Abstract

259,706. Marshall, H. J. M. Aug. 10, 1925. Blocks, special shape of; slabs.-Building slabs of the kind having grouting grooves on the edges and having one portion of their thickness forming a cellular structure, are connected together in pairs with the cellular faces contiguous to one another to form building units. Figs. 1 and 2 show one slab which is formed on one face with depressions 2 forming a cellular structure extending about half-way through, while the edges are rebated at 3<a> and grooved at 3 to form grouting- spaces 7, Fig. 5, for concrete and for reinforcing rods. To form the unit, two slabs are placed with their cellular surfaces abutting and are connected by bolts passing through the holes 4. Special corner blocks with grouting spaces 13, 14, 15 and reinforcing rods 16 may be used.
