Abstract

222,774. Carnes, C. April 9, 1924. Building-blocks, special shapes of; slabs. - A two - part building-block has each of the slabs 1 integrally formed on its inner face with distancepieces 2, and metal rods 4 are adapted to engage vertical holes 3 in those distancepieces which are in vertical alignment, to connect the parts. The space between the parallel slabs 1 may be provided with a grout filling, and the distance - pieces may be wedge-shaped in cross section. The blocks, as shown in Fig. 2, may have two distance-pieces on each slab, those on one slab being in vertical alignment with those on the other slab, but in the form shown in Fig. 3 only one of the two distance-pieces on one slab is in alignment with a distance-piece on the other slab. The metal rods 4 may be of such a length as to engage the distance-pieces of more than one two-part block so as to pass vertically through an erected wall.
