Abstract

527,014. Slab walls. SCOTT, B. W. H. March 28, 1939, No. 5785. [Class 20 (iv)] Walls are formed of precast concrete slabs of the full height of a storey, and are so shaped and disposed that when assembled vertically with abutting edges, recessed to receive a grouting material, part of the material of the slab intermediate the ends is disposed obliquely to the wall surface forming a series of indentations in the general wall surface. In Fig. 1 of the drawings to the Provisional Specification, the slabs shown are of hollow triangular shape reversed and abutting on alternate edges, which are recessed, or parts of the slab may be inclined to the face and the slabs reversed at each joint to form the indentations. The slabs a are erected on a sill-plate b and an upper sill-plate c is superposed on the tops of the slabs. The slabs 1 shown in the drawings to the complete Specification are disposed obliquely to the general surface of the wall formed by their edges 2, which have recesses 4 to receive jointing material, and clips 5 to hold the wall lining support 6.. The indentations in the wall may be filled in by blocks 8.
