Abstract

161,016. Dean, H. Jan. 31, 1920. Bricks, special shapes of.-Hollow blocks are formed with plain jointing-faces e and a mid-partition b. The ends of partition are perforated with holes d which may be of elliptical shape and disposed one above the other, or only the ends may be perforated. The sides may be scored or grooved to receive the plaster or cement. When laid to break joint the hollows are filled with concrete which forms continuous pillars, a part of the concrete spreading through the holes d so as to bind the blocks and the pillars together laterally.
