610,540. Moulding walls of earth. GOWTHORPE, R. C. Nov. 13, 1945, No. 30326. [Class 20(ii)] Walls for dwellings, tanks, reservoirs &c. are built by erecting shuttering, lining the shuttering of at least one face of the structure with tiles, slabs &c. and ramming earth into the mould cavity. Wall shuttering a may be spaced by steel trays b and tied by bolts c and nuts d, also by tapered steel strips e having apertures f for tightening- wedges. Steel clamps g with down-turned ends h and wedges i support the upper parts of the shuttering. Pre-cast slabs, tiles &c. j of cement, asbestos &c. are placed against the shutters of one or more faces of the wall, the slabs having ribs k with holes l whereby the slabs may be tied together by twisted wires &c. n. Earth is rammed into the mould cavity and the wall erected course by course.
