Abstract

680,361. Walls. FIRTH, Ltd., W., and FIRTH, S. T. Jan. 24, 1951 [Jan. 24, 1950], No. 1883/50. Class 20(iv) A cast in situ concrete wall is constructed on a concrete foundation slab A having slots B spaced around its perimeter and where other walls are required. In each of the slots a precast concrete post C, formed with apertures D, is erected, and door and window frames E are bolted between the posts. Shuttering H is then bolted against the posts, being slightly spaced therefrom by distance pieces J, and concrete is poured to fill the space between the posts and to flow through the apertures D to key the posts into the wall. The wall may be finished by a rendering of plaster or by a lining of wall boards.
