Class 87(1) A building block, Fig. 1, comprising two slabs 1, .1<SP>1</SP> of gas silicate or foam concrete connected by two or more webs 2, 2<SP>1</SP>, is assembled by placing the slabs and webs edgewise into the grooves 6, 6<SP>1</SP>; 9, 9<SP>1</SP> in the jig 8, Fig. 2, and then connecting the slabs and webs by pairs ot staples 3, 3<SP>1</SP>; 10, 10<SP>1</SP>, or by nails 4, 4<SP>1</SP>, dowels or screws. The webs are dipped into a bituminous mass before assembly, and the outer slab may be provided with closable vents (not shown).
