Abstract

375,162. Walls. THOMPSON, M. H., Garnett Bridge, near Kendal, Westmorland. Oct. 10, 1931, No. 28195. [Class 20 (iv).] A concrete wall is formed in situ by arranging two pairs of angleirons A in the manner shown at intervals along the wall, the transverse flanges thereof being connected by bolts B and spaced by bolts E, and the longitudinal flanges being suitably spaced and connected by bolts C. Shuttering D is secured to the structure by strips F held by the bolts E, this being removed together with the bolts E when the concrete has been poured in. In a modification suitable for smaller walls, such as partition walls in houses, wooden strips, to which the shuttering is nailed, are substituted for the bolts E, these strips subsequently serving for the securing of picture rails, etc.; in this form, wood blocks may also be provided between the longitudinal flanges.
