Abstract
681,421. Floors; beams; walls. NILSSON, A. B. Jan. 30, 1948 [March 18, 1947], No. 2801/48. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Aug. 9, 1948]. Class 20(iv) Concrete floors are formed by casting concrete 3 on a form composed of spaced reinforced inverted T beams 2 supported on portions of the building such as the walls, with concrete plates 1 supported by the flanges 8 of the beams and filling the spaces therebetween, the height of the plates being substantially equal to the height of the flanges of the beams, the co-operating edges 8, 7 of the flanges and plates being such that the under surfaces of the beams and plates lie in the same plane, and the webs 9 of the beams having a number of holes 5 adjacent the flanges through which reinforcing rods 6 are introduced before the concrete is cast. The flanges 8 of the beams are thinner at their edges than at their roots. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91, comprises also walls with vertical slabs 10 joined by cross pieces 11 the bevelled edges 13 of which engage the bevels 12 of the slabs while shoulders 14 prevent inward movement of the slabs. The slabs being of any shape, e.g. curved for the casting of arched vaults &c. This subject matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
