Joist floors with slab filling. - In forming a floor of precast reinforced-concrete beams and slabs, the slabs are supported clear of the beams by supports O, P secured to the beams and forming part of the mould for the concrete filling cast between the beams and the edges of adjacent slabs. The projecting ends of the reinforcements of the beams and slabs overlap and are embedded in the concrete filling. Where the beams are laid with adjacent ends on partitions or other supports, the junction is strengthened by bars R substantially in the upper plane of the floor. The supports 0, P may be temporary or permanent.
