Abstract
586,511. Velocity-modulated tubes. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., SCOTT, W. J., and MILNER, C. J. July 3, 1942., No. 9262. [Class 39 (i)] The coxial line 12 is connected to the resonator 2 of a reflex klystron by an overlapping or butt joint which does not enter the resonator. As shown the outer conductor 14 of the line slides into a flanged collar 17 secured to the outer wall of the resonator. Alternatively the'member 17 may be secured to the conductor 14, or the end of the conductor may be flanged. The line passes through a metal header 6, the inner conductor 13 being insulated by a bead 16. Specifications 578,848, [Group XXXVI], and 582,488 are referred to.
