[Class 40 (viii)] [Also in Group XL (a)] A cavity resonator for a velocity-modulated tube has a capacity-loading element 33, Fig. 2, carried on the fixed re-entrant inner drift-tube 8 and having a flange 33<SP>11</SP> extending into close proximity to the outer shell 9. The flexible end wall 35 carries a capacity member 36 cooperating with the flat part 33<SP>1</SP>. In another, the part 33<SP>11</SP>, Fig. 4, is an extended cylinder and drift tube 69 is carried on the flexible wall. Specifications 530,785 and 640,895, [Group XL (a)], are referred to.
