581,895. Velocity - modulated tubes. PEARCE, A. F. Dec. 16, 1941, No. 680/43. Divided out of 577,530. [Class 39 (i)] In a reflex velocity-modulated electron oscillation generator the reflecting electrode 8 associated with the hollow resonator 6 has a short rim 9 directed inwardly towards the beam. The beam may be circular, of ribbon shape as described in Specification 574,512, annular or as described in Specification 577,037; in each case the reflecting electrode has an inwardly directed rim, but is shaped to accommodate the beam.
