[Class 39 (i)] In a velocity-modulated electron discharge tube the collector electrode has a diameter at least equal to that of the beam and a length of at least three times that diameter ; see, for example, electrode 4 in Specification 586,120. The collector electrode is surrounded by a water jacket. Specifications 543,592 and 543,752 also are referred to.
