554,763. Gas burners. CURRIER, G. E., GRIFFFITHS, G., and ANDERSON. R. H. Feb. 19, 1942, No. 2210 [Class 75 (i)] A gas burner for use in bakers' ovens and other industrial heating appliances consists of a metal or other tube a having one end flanged for attachment to the furnace wall and formed with an annular gas supply chamber f shaped to form a throat b, the conical face c on the furnace side being steeper than the opposite face d and being provided with a series of spaced gas ports g. Air supplied to the furnace through the tube a is controlled by a pivoted valve h preferably linked to the gas inlet control valve. The ports g may be fitted with adjustable jets or nozzles which may be shielded by refractory material.
