Abstract

595,113. Gas burners. VICARS, Ltd., T. & T., and WHITE, P. Sept. 17, 1945, No. 20831. [Class 75 (i)] In a gas burner suitable for use in a biscuitbaking oven, a gas nozzle 25 discharging into a venturi tube 19 of a burner tube 18 is carried by a plug 24 having a gas passage 24b communicating with a fixed gas passage in a plate or housing 11, the plug 24 being of greater diameter than the venturi tube to allow withdrawal of the venturi tube after the plug has been removed from the housing. The venturi tube is normally held against a stop 27 on the tube 18 by a spring 26, and carries a perforated mixing tube 20 which can be adjusted angularly and axially on the tube 18. The air and gas supplies to the burner are controlled by adjustable valves as described in Specification 595,069 and the mounting plate 11 is similar to that described in Specification 595,070.
