Abstract

604,820. Gas burners. COWLISHAW, W. May 15, 1946, No. 14633. [Class 75(i)] [Also in Group XXIX] In a gas burner in which the flow of gas is regulated by a thermo-statically controlled gas valve, the supply of air is automatically regulated by an air valve controlled by the supply of gas to the burner, the travel of the air valve being limited by two adjustable stops. The stem 19 of a valve 20 in the air inlet to a gas burner is attached to a leather diaphragm 18 extending across the top of a gas chamber 15 which communicates with a pipe 31 supplying gas to the burner. Two adjustable screws 25, 28 limit the opening and closing of the valve 20.
