Abstract

498,646. Sound-reproducing devices. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENTFABRIEKEN. March 22, 1938, No. 8737. Convention date, March 23, 1937. [Class 40 (iv)] In a magnet system for a moving-coil device, the parts of the system conveying the magnetic flux between an annular pole-piece 3 and a centre pole-piece J are held together by a ring 4 which is mechanically attached to the annular pole-piece, is secured solely by friction to the centre pole-piece, and is utilized to centre the pole-piece 1 accurately with respect to the aperture in the pole-piece 3. The magnetic member between the pole-piece 3 and a yoke 2 may be cylindrical or may be formed by a series of members of rectangular cross-section engaging in recesses in the member 2. The chassis 10 may be provided with tongues 8 which engage in recesses formed in the magnet 5 and/or in the pole-piece 3.
