Abstract
491,976. Vaporizers. WEHINGER, R. March 24, 1937, No. 8645. Convention date, March 28, 1936. [Class 7 (iii)] A vaporizer comprises a mixing chamber 5 and a heating chamber 6 across which extends a series of exhaust heated tubes 7 through which a mixture of fuel and air is passed and the fuel vaporized and two inlets 8 for introducing the exhaust gases into the heating chamber in different directions ; the mixture after vaporization is passed to the mixing chamber where it receives additional air. The exhaust gas inlets 8 are located on opposite sides of the heating chamber. The mixture passes through an inlet chamber 4 and is vaporized by a hot-plate 26 before it enters the heating chamber. A valve 16 regulates the quantity of additional air admitted to the mixing chamber and the air may be filtered and moistened.
