Abstract
383,869. Vaporizers. DEVAUD, C., 3, SerriÞres, NeuchÔtel, Switzerland. April 18, 1932, No. 11029. Convention date, April 18, 1931. [Class 7 (iii).] Fuel, vaporized while passing through a serpentine conduit 5 in a container 1 which is heated by the passage therethrough of the exhaust gases from an internal-combustion engine, has a small proportion of those gases added to .it at a point between the heating chamber and the engine cylinders, the passage of the fuel vapours being thereby accelerated. The exhaust gases pass from the exhaust pipe 3, preferably past a regulator, through a pipe 2 to the container 1 and a part thereof is led past a regulator 9 through a pipe 7 to the fuel pipe 6. Perforated screens 10 prevent flame from reaching the container 1 which is provided with a safety valve 11 to prevent excessive pressure. Water of condensation may be drawn off through a cock 8.
