[Class 7 (iii).] Naphtha, Schist oil, and other fuels which are difficult to volatilize are supplied from a tank s to a chamber cc where they are vaporized by the heat of the exhaust gases. The vapour is supplied to a carburetter C and mixed with air, and the mixture is supplied either directly to the engine cylinder or through a pipe tm to an additional heating and mixing chamber CM, which surrounds an exhaust pipe R, before entering the engine cylinder cs. Air may be admitted to the chamber CM.
