109,126. Gray, A., Gaskell, J., and Wilkes, W. T. Sept. 26, 1916. Addition to 101,111. Vaporizers, external.-A supplementary vaporizer is fitted to the inlet branch of the combined vaporizing and induction pipe described in the parent Specification. The inlet branch b which, in the original apparatus, was connected directly to the carburettor is now provided with a vaporizing- chamber m, through which passes the exhaust pipe d which traverses the main vaporizer a. The pipe d is surrounded by a sleeve n which is slit longitudinally, alternate portions o being forced out to form tunnels or baffles, which direct the cold air and fuel on to the hot pipe d. At the upper side, the sleeve is provided with perforations or baffles o<1>. The carburettor is connected to the flange b<1>, and the mixture passes tn the engine through outlets c.
