Abstract

484,839. Daylight lamps. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., BOWTELL, J. N., and JENKINS, H. G. Feb. 16, 1937, No. 4641. [Class 75 (iv)] Light approximating to daylight is produced by the association of a high-tension electric discharge lamp in which that variety of zinc silicate which emits yellow-white luminescent light is excited to luminescence by a low pressure mercury discharge, with a high-tension electric neon discharge lamp, which may be associated with luminescent material, such as calcium tungstate or willemite, excited by the neon discharge. There is substantially no other component. Specifications 457,126 and 457,486, [both in Group XL], are referred to.
