Abstract

527,685. Luminescent materials. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., BOWTELL, J. N., JENKINS, H. G., and McKEAG, A. H. April 19, 1939, No. 11790. [Class 39 (i)] Cadmium tungstate is used as a luminescent material in or on an electric discharge lamp with a mercury or neon filling. The preparation of the tungstate from specified proportions of sodium tungstate and calcium sulphate and its subsequent treatment is described. Lead may be used as activator. Specifications 469,913, 469,732, 504,354 and 515,298 are referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 485,329.
