Abstract
498,370. Luminescent materilals. DEGEA AKT.-GES. (AUERGES). Feb. 1, 1938, No. 3181. Convention date, Feb. 9, 1937. [Class 98 (i)] Material useful in lighting technology for converting ultra-violet radiation into visible light consists of calcium tungstate containing from 3À5 to 6À5 per cent of lead tungstate. The material is particularly responsive to the resonance line of mercury at 2537Š. The mixture is prepared without the use of additional substances such as fluxes, to ensure a high degree of purity. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 485,875.
