483,084. Radiators for cooling liquids. GEORGE, J. and MARVEN, L. R. Oct. 12, 1936, No. 27624. [Class 29] In a cooling radiator 1 for oil, provided with a plate 5 in the inlet header, the plate being provided with small holes to spread the oil over the inlet end of the radiator, the total area of the small holes is equal to the cross sectional area of the inlet pipe 11. A fan 2 discharges cooling air over the radiator. A rotary oil pump 4 may be provided to force oil through the radiator or the engine's lubricating pump may be relied on to produce circulation. In a modified construction a wire gauze plate may be provided in addition to the perforated plate.
