Abstract
479,162. Fuel-injection pumps. SOC. ANON. A. SAURER. Feb. 2, 1937. No. 3028. Convention date, March 10, 1936. [Class 102 (i)] [Also in Group XXIX] The time of injection of a fuel-injection pump 20 is adjusted by a coupling 18 in the driving shaft of the pump which is adjusted by a bell-crank lever 12 having a roller 10 engaged by a cam 9 actuated by a spring-loaded piston 4 fitted in a cylinder 2. The cylinder 2 has a restricted outlet 3 and is supplied with liquid by a pump 1 driven by the engine. The cam 9 enables any timing characteristic to be obtained.
