448,759. Oil engines. SOC. ANON. A. SAURER, Arbon, Switzerland. Nov. 19, 1935, No. 32011. Convention date, Oct. 28. [Class 7 (iii)] In a multicylinder engine having a fuelinjection pump 11 for each cylinder 2, and in which the pipes 21 connecting each pump 11 to its cylinder are at right angles to a plane passing through the cylinder axes, the pumps 11 are located in a single block 7, 8, are driven from a common driving shaft and have a common regulating member 25. The block 7, 8 is detachable so that the pumps may be regulated before being mounted on the cylinders. The regulating member either alters the position of an eccentric shaft regulating overflow valves or rotates the pump piston to varv the amount of fuel returned to a suction space 13 common to the pumps 11.
