Abstract

465,263. Fuel injection pumps. KRUPP GERMANIAWERFT AKT.-GES., F. Jan. 30, 1937, Nos. 2820, 2821, and 2822. Convention dates, Feb. 7, 1936, Feb. 17, 1936, and July 11, 1936. [Class 102 (i)] A fuel - injection pump in which a piston b is mounted in a cylinder d provided with piston packing rings e and which is connected by a pipe h to the engine cylinder. The piston b is connected to the pump piston c in such a manner that lateral movement between the two pistons is allowable. A sleeve u engages a collar on the piston c and maintains engagement between its spherical face and a similar face on a member y. A lever s is mounted on an eccentric z and is connected to the sleeve u , and a cam r on the lever s actuates a suction valve p. The eccentric z is adjustable to control the pump delivery. In a multi-cylinder engine, each eccentric z is connected by a rod c<1>, adjustable in length by a turnbuckle #<1>, to a common control shaft el.
