Abstract

477,016. Driving-gear. SACCO, L. A. March 11, 1936, No. 7304. Void. Convention date, March 27,1935. Drawings to Specification. [Class 7 (ii)] The cylinder compression-ratio is varied by the provision of an eccentric bush on the crank-pin which is rotated through spurgearing from a shaft coaxial with and passing through a passage in the main shaft. This rotation is effected by axial movement of a nut, constrained from rotation, said nut being coupled to move with the main throttle valve if so desired. The application to an " in-line " and a radial-cylinder engine is described.
