Abstract

473,472. Cylinders. ZEISSL, I. April ]2, 1937, No. 10378. Convention date, July 31, 1936. [Class 7 (ii)] Linings 2, 5 of heat resisting material are mounted in both the combustion chamber and the exhaust passage, with a heat insulating space behind. The lining 5 includes an extension 6 round the valve guide and it is arranged to be removable when the exhaust valve and guide have been taken out. A chamber 8 contains lubricant which in addition to lubricating the valve gear assists in cooling the head.
